- The cyclopentasiloxane
It is a synthetic polymer, a silicone that has a particularly soft texture that’s pleasant to the touch, non-sticky, shiny, and very slippery. In terms of sensuality and versatility, it is the best. Most silicones used in cosmetics are inert substances and are not toxic on the skin and mucous membranes. However, they are criticized when added to shampoo-type products for their lack of biodegradability and for polluting for the environment.
- BHT or butylated hydroxytoluene
A recent re-evaluation conducted with FEBEA shows that it does not meet the criteria for identifying as an endocrine disruptor. It is safe for use according to experts and the World Health Organization (WHO) which claim that it’s safe in cosmetic products, including those for children. BHT must be present in an optimal and regulated concentration: 0.1% in non-rinse-off products and 0.5% in those you rinse off. The formula of our crackling foam contains 0.00039%, more than two hundred times less than the cosmetic regulations in force.
